Here are my top favorites activities that I would recommend for a family living in Appleton WI.
10. Enjoy dinner at China buffet on Northland Ave with the Family.
If you enjoy Chinese food, this place will not disappoint. Growing up we loved going to our favorite Appleton eatery. Its fast, and efficient and quick. Stay as long as you would like here.
9. Take a swim at Erb pool with your family.
This is a fun activity to do under the sun.
8. Enjoy board games, or play the piano while enjoying a coffee or gelato at Copperock Coffee.
This is a local favorite for many local residents. Spacious and comfortable, with lots of board games, and areas to sit and enjoy a coffee.
7. Discover new local favorite bands at the Mile of Music.
Every year, there are new bands that preform at the mile long music festival that spans a total of 4 days! A favorite for many.
6. Explore Downtown Appleton with the Valley Transit Trolley (Summer Exclusive).
During a special time in the summer, you can visit a lot of the points of interest in the local downtown area using this trolley. You can make a day out of it with your family.
5. Football, Soccer, Tennis, Baseball, or Basketball at Lindwood Park.
This is a very large park located in the middle of a neighborhood close to College ave, you can play any of these sports here, and there even is a pavilion for a picnic, and a playground for the younger kids!
4. Let your dog run free at the Outagamie Dog Park.
Close to Little Chute, towards the North East side of Appleton. There are many acres of enclosed public land for you and your dogs to enjoy!
3. Discover a new favorite book or movie at the Appleton Public Library.
Growing up walking to the library was a very fun thing for our family to do. We really enjoyed the walk and then arriving to use the computer, discover books and movies.
2. Disc Golf at Pierce Park.
One of the many disc golf courses available to the public. This is a very large park, and sure to entertain you and your family.
1. Building for Kids.
Taking your kids to the Building for Kids is a very fun thing to do. Explore and discover many of their themed stations that inspire growth and development. Often times they have big events as well.
